150th Anniversary

St. Bartholomew Lodge, having been consecrated on Tuesday 18th November 1857, celebrated its Sesquicentennial Anniversary on Tuesday 13th November 2007.

The celebrations had been planned over a 15 month period culminating with the 150 year anniversary meeting taking place at the Masonic Hall, Tettenhall, Wolverhampton instead of the normal Lodge Rooms at Wednesbury due to the number of visitors expected to be present.

On the evening over 120 brethren were present including the Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro. Thomas D.C. Lloyd, T.D. D.L. together with officers past and present of the Province of Staffordshire and other Provinces.

The Worshipful Master, Bro. J.E.G. Brackpool welcomed everyone to the celebrations. He paid tribute to those brethren who had spent 15 months working as part of the Anniversary Committee to ensure the celebrations ran smoothly on the evening. A very happy evening was had by all who attended.

On Tuesday 1st March 2010, likewise, the St. Bartholomew Lodge of Instruction No. 696 also celebrated its 150th Anniversary. The evening saw 39 visitors attend including the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, V.W. Bro. D. Gary Read  together with 18 brethren representing the Province of Staffordshire and other Lodges. The Worshipful Master in the Chair for the evening was W. Bro. J.D. Greenhough P.A.G.D.C., a Past Preceptor of the Lodge of Instruction. Once again all who attended had a very happy evening, which included a performance of one of the Masonic Lectures.
